Police arrest man after driving and hitting parked cars – North Shore
A man has been arrested after an ute crashed into two parked cars and a motorbike in north Sydney yesterday.
Just after 7 p.m. (Tuesday, September 28, 2021), emergency services were called to Baden Road, Kurraba Point, after reports of an accident.
Officers attached to the North Shore Police Zone Command attended and learned that the red Toyota Landcruiser was heading north on Baden Road when it collided with a silver Hyundai i30 parked near the Kurraba Road intersection .
The ute continued and struck a parked white Mini Cooper, causing it to roll onto its side, before colliding with a parked black Yamaha motorcycle, then rolling onto its side.
Two male occupants were able to withdraw from the UTE.
The passenger, a 19-year-old man from Greenacre, fled the scene on foot and was located nearby.
The driver, a 30-year-old man from Yagoona, was arrested. He took part in a road breathalyzer test which gave a negative result.
He was taken to the Royal North Shore Hospital for further tests, including treatment for head and shoulder injuries.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
